Attending the 2025 Duxford Soap Box Derby

Getting to Duxford

All events are happening at The Plough, 57-59 St Peter’s St, Duxford, Cambridge CB22 4RP (///stay.trickling.flip). You can drive to our village and park in one of the car parks.

Duxford is located on the number 11 sustrans cycle route.

Other public transport options include the 132 Sunday service bus from Saffron Walden/Cambridge or Whittlesford Parkway for Greater Anglia train services (a 25-30 minute walk to the village).

No ticket is required to attend

Road closures

Roads will be closed at 11:30am and re-opened at 2:30pm.

Cars

  • Main parking: Welch’s Transport, Moorfield Road, CB22 4PS
  • Additional parking: Duxford Community Centre, Hunts Rd, CB22 4RE

    • 5 minutes walk to The Plough
    • Note a football tournemant is happening on the same day so parking will be very limited here
  • On street parking is available around the village but do not park on any of the following roads within the road closure area
    • St Peter’s Street
    • Chapel Street
    • Moorfield Road
    • St John’s Street
    • Hunts Road
    • Ickleton Road
    • Rectory Road
    • Hinxton Road

Bike parking is available at the Duxford Community Centre (///unzipped.motivates.mailer).
